Valentine's Day - I Am Loved!
Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and I have thought long and hard about what to write. I realized there is really only one thing to say - You have to treat yourself the way you want to be treated. If you are feeling lonely, hopeless, neglected or sad on this day I offer you a simple practice - wake up on Valentine’s Day and deeply surrender to the feeling of disappointment or sadness. Find where in your body it hurts (heart, chest or stomach) and lean into the pain. Then relax, lean in deeper, take a deep breathe and LET GO!!!! Let go of the deep sadness first, then let go of any expectation you have of someone else doing something for you. That doesn’t mean you let go of your desire for romance, but it does mean you release your NEED for someone on this day to make you feel whole and happy. You must be whole and happy first for great love and romance to find you.
The part where you turn your energy toward yourself is when the magic happens
Now don’t just stop here, there is more work for you to do. The good stuff begins now. Turn all your energy toward yourself. What would feel good to you (emotionally, mentally, physically) on this day? Think about what would feel warm, cozy and delicious. Perhaps get your favorite coffee and add whip cream, order your favorite lunch/dinner, get a massage or manicure, have dinner with someone you love to hang out with, go to the gym, go on a walk, eat chocolate, buy flowers, take a bubble bath with candles. You must feel the disappointment, let it go and then romance yourself. The part where you turn your energy toward yourself is when the magic happens.
Declare to the Universe,
“I am worthy of a great love no one can take from me…”
You see in life and love the universe can only give you what you give yourself. The world and all of its manifestations are just a mirror of your relationship to yourself. Value yourself on this day and treat yourself to feeling good. Every woman has the ability to create love inside herself without a man. It is this fountain of love that she dips into when life is not showing up for her in the way she wants. You do have the power to feel loved and happy on Valentine’s Day even if you do not have a man or your man is not showing up in the way you desire. Use this day as an opportunity to create love inside yourself. A love that is unshakeable, a love that is deep and rich. A love that fills you up with feelings of security and devotion. Do this and declare to the universe, “I am worthy of a great love no one can take from me. A great love that I am ready to share with a great man when he shows up.”
My dear Goddess friends, a man is only a messenger telling you who you are and how you value yourself. Focus on what feels good to you and you will find that you are not alone on this day. You have a well of deep love inside you that is always available to soothe your heart and lift your spirit. Use your powers to create this love and watch how the world responds.
Much Love,
Malena xoxo
