Competing with your Masculine Man
Are you competing for power and respect in your relationship? I mean, are you a masculine woman butting heads with your masculine man? Unfortunately, this is what many couples are experiencing nowadays. You see romantic relationships flourish when there are two opposite energy systems (masculine & feminine) working together and complementing each other. There is the masculine leader that directs, manages, controls, is purpose-driven, protects, provides, and feels best when respected. Then, there is the feminine energy partner that receives, loves, flows, feels, surrenders, engages the sensual world, and feels best when cherished. When two people come together with opposite energies, sparks fly and things flow a lot smoother.
“When two people come together with opposite energies, sparks fly”
Remember a man can be feminine and a woman can be masculine also. It is a choice. Men and women should choose which energy to primarily embody, masculine or feminine. Then, by choosing an opposite energy partner, you create a balanced, complementary, and non-competitive space for romantic love. You should focus on complementary energy, rather than competitive energy. Competitive energy (masculine to masculine) diminishes intimacy.
“Focus on complementary energy, rather than competitive energy.”
Let’s review a little bit of the past to better understand how we have so many masculine energy couples locking horns. After the 1970’s women’s movement, cultural norms changed and women could choose whether to have children (birth control) or not. They became more independent and restrictions on gender roles were loosened. Women were also encouraged to enter the workforce and were praised for acting “like men.” By entering the workforce, women began to embody more of their masculine energy and were rewarded for it as they chased after success and more independence. During the 1970’s, men also began to embrace their feminine side and became more feeling centered. Overall, traditional roles for men and women in relationships were turned upside down. This created some very important changes that benefited women greatly but things kept evolving beyond that. Today, men operate mainly from their masculine energy and so do women, which has created a competition of sorts. The balance of feminine and masculine has been lost. Today, men and women compete for leadership, control, and respect. This may be okay in the workplace but it does not work in romantic love. As I said before, competitive energy (masculine to masculine) diminishes not only intimacy but sexual attraction.
“The balance of feminine and masculine has been lost”
Although this account of history sounds like a bad thing, I do think women needed to have this experience where they fully developed their masculine. This was needed in order to overcome decades of oppression and to develop both sides of their nature as a human. It was also required in a society that needed both genders in the workforce. Yet, the evolution of mankind still rages on and now, nature seeks balance again. Does that mean women give up their equality and quit their jobs? No! Yet, it does mean that women must leave their penises at work and return home to their romantic relationships as feminine women if they want to be loved, cherished, and protected by a masculine man.
I know this is not easy but it is being asked of us at this time. We must move with nature and nature is calling us home. We are being called back to an authentic way of being. A woman’s natural essence of relaxing into the flow of love.
The immense amount of conflict in romantic relationships is nature’s way of forcing women to return to their feminine way of being. It is not only men that feel a desperate thirst for feminine love but also women that are yearning for a strong man full of presence, clarity, and purpose. Men are being called home to their masculine center also. Yet, my blog is for women so I will leave those teachings for men coaches.
“It is not only men that feel a desperate thirst for feminine love”
So, here we are in a new age as men and women awaken to a different type of feminine and masculine energy. It is the DIVINE feminine and DIVINE masculine that are now ready to meet for the first time. They will meet and remember each other, but this time they have evolved and have a new appreciation for each other. They also have a new purpose. Their purpose is to complement each other and bring out the deepest expression of the other. Together, they are the embodiment of the whole universe. They are the - Yin and the Yang; mountains and river; night and day; sun and moon; honey bee and flower. When these two come together now, they honor their opposing force. They welcome the play of energy together as they delight in the experience of a deeper love.
Much Love,
